Heavy Equipment Technician
The Heavy Equipment Technician reports directly to their assigned Mechanical Supervisor and are responsible for Mechanical Maintenance activities of all Mobile Heavy Equipment (Rolling Stock) related Power Plant. Some of the common duties will be but not limited to, filter replacement, lubrication of equipment, track and gear repair, system leak repair, component & driver alignment, bearing repairs, component replacement, general industrial maintenance, housekeeping, training and troubleshooting of Rolling Stock. Included in Rolling Stock are Dozers, Scrapers, Loaders, Bobcats, Forklifts, and others. This person will follow the Plant Safety Procedures and the Plant LOTO or (Lock-out Tag-out System) at all times. The position will be supporting the Longview Power plant Start-Up / Commissioning, Maintenance and Operational readiness of the 700 MW Super-Critical Coal Fired Generating Station.

The duties of the Plant Operator Technician (Level 1) are to perform the safe and reliable operation of the local plant equipment as assigned by the Shift Supervisor or Control Room Operator. This person has achieved all qualifications of each system of the plant and to be able to act as a Control Room Operator when required. These duties include the local system line-up, local isolation, and local equipment – system specific checks, flow - pressure control, and troubleshooting. The Operator Technician (Level 1) will Operate Local PLC’s for Water, Ash, and other equipment / systems that may be locally controlled. The Operator Technician (Level 1) will adhere to Shift operational activities in accordance with Longview Power’s organization policies and applicable laws. The Operator Technician is responsible for Operational Logs of equipment and pass down of shift status and communication to other shifts. They will participate as required for OJT training both for Operator Level 2 & 3 development and Control Room training. Insures safety and environmental procedures are adhered to. The position will be supporting the Longview Power plant Start-up / Commissioning, and operations readiness of the 700 MW Super Critical Coal Fired Generating Station, including but not limited to Fuel systems, ash handling, scrubber system, Steam turbine generator, Condensate / Feedwater Cycle Equipment, plant auxiliary equipment, and other environmental controls.
The Electrical Engineer reports to the Reliability & Performance Manager and is responsible for all electrical engineering duties required for the Longview Power Plant. The Electrical Engineer is involved with System and Plant performance, Electrical Devices, Transformers, Motors, Excitation System, Generator, Substation, Switchyard, Motor Control Centers, Breakers, UPS and Battery System, and Plant Auxiliaries. This person will use engineering principles to provide technical support for the Longview Power 700 MW Supercritical Coal Fired Generating Station.
The Controls Engineer reports to the Reliability & Performance Manager and is responsible for all Plant Controls Engineering duties required for the Longview Power Plant. The Controls Engineer will be involved in but not limited to System and Plant Tuning, Control Schemes and related instrumentation, Graphic interface and implementation, Historical Data and Reporting, System Expansion and Upgrades, Problem identification and resolution, and Plant Control and Integrity. This person will use engineering principals to provide technical support for the Longview 700 MW Supercritical Coal Fired Power Station.
